Let’s start with some basics…

Photo Montage – This is a colage of pictures, usually created with Powerpoint
software, that tells a story about the bride, the groom, and then their time
together before the wedding day. More details to follow.

Video Montage – This is the same as the aforementioned photo montage, but
this montage is done in video with a combination of photos and live action
video. It is more sophisticated and more expensive to produce.

Which is best really depends on who is creating the montage. A friend, family
member, or a professional? Both mediums have their advantages and
limitations. Discuss options with the vendors you are considering. They
can best advise you.

Ultimately someone who takes the time to know your story, and be able to
thoughtfully share it with your guests in an entertaining and engaging
manner will make the difference.

The secret is to keep the audience’s attention by touching their emotions.
Laughing, crying, smiling, sighing are all good signs of a great montage.
K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple and Short. 3-6 Munutes if fine. 15 Minutes is too
long.

Video Projection – Most wedding receptions show the montage then remove
the screen. But, if you have the room to keep the screen up throughout the
reception then video projection can bring a third dimension to your entire
wedding.

On the BIG screen – Pictures of the bride & groom taken with the photograher
before the wedding at the beach, moutains, in a graden… can greet the guests
as they arrive. Pictures of the ceremony during dinner, and pictures of the
guests dancing during the party time all on the BIG screen for everyone to
see. It’s very exciting for your guests.

MTV Video To Go - In addition to listening to the latest music, you and your
guests can watch and dance to music videos as well.

Video Dedications – Guest can make dedications in advance and \ or on your
wedding day roll in a banner across the screen. “This song is dedicated to the
most romantic couple here tonight…”.
